Data Notes User Guide

Overview

Data Notes is a powerful feature that allows you to surface important information for customer service representatives, marketers, and sales teams.

Workflow Steps

1. Access Data Notes

  1. Navigate to “Integrated Apps”
  2. Select “Data Notes”

2. Create a New Note

  • Click “Create New Note”
  • Select an owner (typically yourself)
  • Use the “Pin” option to make the note prominent in the CRM

3. Add Note Details

  • Write your note description (e.g., “This contact is located in England”)
  • Add relevant properties as needed
  • Save the note

4. Publish the Note

  • Review the note details
  • Turn on and publish the note

Example Use Case: Tracking Contact Location

Editing Contact Information

  1. Open the contact’s profile
  2. Edit the location field
  3. Add the specific location (e.g., pin “England”)
  4. Save the property

Verifying the Note

  • Navigate to the Notes section
  • Confirm the note has been created
  • Check for any additional missing information (e.g., date of birth, annual revenue)

Best Practices

  • Use pinned notes for critical information
  • Keep notes concise and relevant
  • Update notes regularly to maintain accuracy
